Even for those that have done every other concievable motorsport Hovercraft piloting is somewhat of a unique expereince. They handle line no other machine power sliding across the surface whether on land or water.

The Skills required to drive the craft are good balance, fine judgment and forward thinking. The skills are diffeent enough from any other for of land based racing to put everyone on a level playing field from the start.

After a meet and greet. The pilots are given thorough instruction on how to operate the craft saftly. They then try in out for themselves. Hovercraft driving is not the easiest activity in the world to learn but with someexpert tuiton you will get the hand of it fairly quickly.
